Account Edge Basic Date Error

Hi All,

I am trying to reconcile and get the below error. Need help asap as have appointment this week with accountant...

The Bank Statement Date you have entered is after the current system date, and may be in error.

PS I am a Mac user.

All system dates are fine. And checked. Can anyone help?

Hi @WendyWu22

 

This message is just a warning to let you know that you are reconciling a date in the future, which may not necessarily be what you want (as in practice we probably wont be looking at a bank statement which is dated past the current date). You should be able to reconcile your account even if this message appears, so long as it balances OK. Can you tell me if you are unable to reconcile your account (as long as the out of balance is $0)?

Thanks Stuart, The date I have entered is the correct and current date for the month of June. So I am not sure why I am getting the error.

I was too scared to go ahead with the reconciliation in case it had any future issues that I couldn't undo.

 

So, the date entered is June 30 2018. The month I am reconciling is June and it was July 1 at the time.

 

Would you have a suggestion as to how I should proceed?

Hi @WendyWu22

 

This message really is just a warning, and it should not prevent you from reconciling your accounts. So, if it is possible, and your reconciliation balances, simply go ahead and reconcile as this warning will not affect your reconciliations as long as everything balances. Just as a point of interest, can you please check your system date and time and make sure it is correct, and you are in the correct time zone (Australia for example).

Thanx Stuart, No worries, still not sure why I would get the woarning though as yes, I already checked my system time date and zone, all the same as they have been for years, no settings have been changed either. All good if you think I can still proceed. Happy days.
