Current year retained earnings rolled over to retained earnings does not match P&L

Hello,

I am using AccountRight Premier 2023.3.0.

I have an issue with my retained earnings for FY2021.

For the FY2021 year the amount rolled into retained earnings from the FY2020 current year earnings roll over/adjustment for FY2020 is different to the actual FY2020 P&L.

The P&L and balance sheet for FY2020 are correct and the trial balance for FY2020 is in balance.  The P&L for FY2021 is also correct.

Can anyone assist as to how a current year earnings roll over amount can differ to the P&L and therefore create a balance sheet which is out of balance.

Re: Current year retained earnings rolled over to retained earnings does not match P&L

Hi @brettz

This is a known bug in AR2023 - affects a small number of users, exact cause unknown (or not disclosed by MYOB). You will need to have MYOB repair the file. I have tagged a couple of moderators who should be in touch soon. @Earl_HD  @Celia_B

Thank you Gavin for your email.

I have decided to revert to a backup which is in balance and will import transactions to get the file back upto date.

If that doesnt work I will seek out myob support to repair the file.

Regards

Brett
