We have just attempted to backdate inventory adjustments in Account Edge. For example, we conducted a stocktake on 30/6/18 but only tried to enter the new counted values on 20/7/18 - using the stocktake adjustment account and backdating to 30/6/18. Now when we produce an items register report for 30/6/18 the values do not correspond to thate we entered after the count. I suspect we have completely mucked up our inventory.

Can you please post a printout or screen shot of your Item Register detail report (just for the item and the date range in question)? When you look at the current value, and amount columns for the item, are they correct? What happens when you change the date on the inventory adjustment to what it was previously? Please make a quick backup of your file before changing things around, just in case something unexpected happens.
