Totally agree with your statement about MYOB, to date we have not received any instructions on how to resolve the problem which many are having. I paid for someone to come and help me sort things out and everything has now been sent to the ATO. We had to go back to Phase 1 to make everything match up, once that was done we changed it to Phase 2 but since I had already processed wages for the first week in July I had to do a normal pay run and then a credit pay run so that all the figures would go into the correct payroll category. Hopefully by 2023 we don't have the same problems.

Hi,
I had to pay for someone to help me, ended up sending the 2021-2022 Verification Report in Phase 1 and then went back and changed to Phase 2. My concern was not what the summary didn't match because I checked my Payroll Register and everything was correct, I was more worried about what did the employee group certificates looked like, had everything been added correctly. It's all done now, and I'm hoping that 2023 is not going to be the same. Very dissapointed with the lack of communication and help from MYOB.

Thank you so much for posting this, I have been on hold with MYOB for 3 hours, only to get cutoff before being able to talk to someone! I was about to lose it when I stumbled upon your fix. The error only seemed to affect the terminated employees. I am so lucky that I only had 4 to fix.

I also had to reactivate 30+ employees to process 0 pays. I'd done the update event a while ago anyway but it only seems to send an update for active employees... And it created a zero payslip for every employee!!!!
EOFY payroll reconciliation was a nightmare this year. No subtotals on the individual summaries to help with reconciling. Page scrolled back to the top every time you saved an employee's summary. No option to open in new tab. Just horrendous. I ended up spending a whole Saturday just trying to finalise the 95 staff we'd had throughout the year. Can't even imagine 300+.
You have my sympathy and let's hope the process has been simplified by this time next year.
