Rolling forward a financial year

Hi,

We use AccountRight Plus 2022.4.

When closing 2021 financial year and rolling forward into 2022 year, options to purge data etc have been removed from this MYOB version. Much quicker process.

Will unpresented cheques, unpaid AP/AR Invoices, cards, payroll, ledgers etc be automatically roll forward without any issues? 

Of course backups plus saving reports and ledgers occurs before the actual roll forward.

Yes the rollover process in AR2022 is much quicker than MYOB v19, that because in MYOB v19 MYOB had to update every transaction to allocate it to the correct FY. AR2022 does this based on transaction date, so all transaction will be as they were originally entered.

Also as you noted the purge function is no longer available, so sadly the company file will grow and grow each year without any means to reduce the file. Once your file gets too big to function efficiently, MYOB will suggest you start a new file. There is a 3rd party purge function for AR2022, and while this comes at a cost, it is the only option for some users with high transaction volumes.
