Re: Company File "Access Denied" - sandbox works fine

Out of curiousity I used "Administrator" with no password and the company file didn't return Access Denied and all worked fine.

So there must be an extra magical setting in MYOB as this particular user has admin rights to the file.

Company File "Access Denied" - sandbox works fine

Hi,

I'm using AccountRight v2 API (cloud only). I developed against the Sandbox file and wish to get a list of Employees. To help any answers, I'm pretty new to MYOB products.

My code works fine with the Sandbox file. I can get a list of Employees using my dev account. Debugged a real account and still can't see where I'm going wrong. I can get a list of Company Files no problem with both my dev my.myob login and the accountants login causing the issue. We have checked their rights to the company file and seems OK.

The URI for the company file that gives permission denied is like "https://ar2.api.myob.com/accountright/<GUID REMOVED>" so we I call "https://ar2.api.myob.com/accountright/<GUID REMOVED>/Company" it gives "Access Denied".

A different I'm seeing is that the sandbox file goes to "https://ar1". Not ar2 like the failing scenario.

Could that be the issue?

Thank you.

Luke
