Re: Integration with AccountRight 2016 on local network

Hi there

The short answer is yes you can use the API over http://localhost:8080/accountright and you can change that to an IP address with this blog post

The API is locally installed and you shouldn't need anything else.

Hi there @Jue,

Welcome to the MYOB Forum! We do trust you'll find this a valuable place.

I have moved your post to the API Developer board as your questions were more API-related as opposed to AccountRight product queries. I'm positive that @KeranM, our extremely knowledgable API guru, will be able to assist further and provide you with the information you need.

Please don't hesitate to post again anytime you require assistance as we're always happy to help!

Integration with AccountRight 2016 on local network

Hi Team,

One of our customers is going to upgrade their AccountRight from v19 to 2016. The new MYOB will only be hosted on their own netwrok, nothing on cloud. The host is a Windows 2012 R2 server with IIS 8, and MYOBAccountRight Server will be installed.

Currently, customer's CRM system, within the same network, transfers records with AccountRight v19 in both ways via an ODBC application. After upgrade, this communication between MYOB and CRM must be remained.

- Will the API be still avaliable within the customer's own network?

- If yes, does it require any web service for the communication, like

        - If yes, how to bind MYOB with web server (IIS 8)?

        - If no, what should it be?

- if no, what is the solution?

Thanks in advance!
