Re: Overwrite an existing sandbox with the live Account Right data

Hi there @Earl,

@Triboss is spot on here - the shared API sandbox files that we invite you to are shared environments so they're not unique to you.

There's a few options for a dedicated test environment. Primarily, you'll need an AccountRight Live serial number and you'll have to manage your own file (test data and everything). We include files as part of our paid developer partnerships or you can register a regular subscription if you'd prefer.

As far as integration to your file goes I'd actually recommend coding against your live data. Testing against another file altogether helps ensure you're not accidentally hard coding things that should be configurable or detected from the file. Things like our best practice guide for company file authentication can help you build an integration that's flexible and will work with any number of test files (and, of course, your live file).

If you need any help exploring those test environment options feel free to drop us a note to developers@myob.com for support.

Cheers!

The sandbox files can be shared by multiple developers.

I wouldn't reccomend uploading any confidential data to these files.

Overwrite an existing sandbox with the live Account Right data

Hi,

We're creating an API client for the Account Right data.  We're planning to use a sandbox for the development to avoid any loss from the Live data.

Apparently, our sandbox is not empty.  Is there a way to wipeout the data from the sandbox and overwrite it the data from the Live Account Right?

A step-by-step instruction is deeply appreciated.

Thanks
