Power Pivot

Hi all

I'd like to get started with Excel Power Pivot and AccountRight 2018.4 cloud.

Does anyone know what is needed to connect Excel Power Pivot to AR?

eg.  Do I need an API?

Thanks in advance

David

Re: Power Pivot

Thanks Mike.

It refers to 2013 which makes me think its old.  eg my MYOB files are in C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Local\MYOB\AccountRight.

Was I meant to seach for 'installer' or 'api'?  I didn't find a file that I need to run to install the api.

I'm still stuck I'm afraid.

 Regards

David

Re: Power Pivot

Hi @DavidFisher, if you open a browser and type in http://localhost:8080/AccountRight/, do you see a list of company files from your local library? If so, you can drill down on any line, and see what resources are available.

However, you will need to modify the URL to add the API version, Eg: http://localhost:8080/AccountRight/3ae6a4e1-4acf-48c5-bde6-40fac54cd4ef?x-myobapi-version=v2.

You will need to replace the blue text with the file id from your own system.

Version 2 of the API allows you to access many more endpoints.

I'm assuming the file you want to analyse is in a local library. If it is in the cloud, that's another story.

Re: Power Pivot

Hi Mke

Thanks for your continued assistance/persistence.

Neither url works.  I'm not sure where I'd find my local ID to replace the blue.

Confirming that my file is in the cloud....

Regards

David
