Account Edge and Catalina

Hi

It's seems mac users on Account Edge are being left out in the cold by MYOB.

Has anyone got any suggestions other than moving to Xero?

I guess the option of Account Right via Parallels or such might work.

Will our files from Account Edge work here?

Feeling a bit lost. Thanks S

Re: Account Edge and Catalina

Hi @smm

I have been successfully using both AccountEdge from MYOB and AccountEdge from Priority (who is the developer for the AccountEdge program) for the past five years.

There are actually a few options:

1. Dont upgrade to Catalina (which isnt necessary unless you have other software that needs to run in 64 bit mode)

2. Use Parallels. I can confirm this works ok, but is a bit slow

3. Buy a cheap MAC and use it to run AccountEdge (without upgrading to Catalina)

4. Look at the Priority Website - they have a product called AccountEdge Hosted which is a cloud based virtual machine in which they pre-load AccountEdge (but it is a bit expensive at $40 / user / month - see https://accountedge.com/options/ )

I believe that around March this year there will be an expanded cloud version of AccountEdge. But what the exact features will be hasnt been announced.

Hope this helps.

Re: Account Edge and Catalina

Thanks @Ozzibloke that's really helpful information. I'll check out the priority website. An expanded cloud version of Account Edge would be great.

Many thanks.
