Account Edge and Catalina

Hi

I know that we can't upgade to Catalin at all now. I'm just wondering about the future of Account Edge?

Will this product continue to be supported by MYOB?

Will we get the necessary tax table updates for the upcoming new financial year?

Is there an alternative product being developed?

The last of information or contact from MYOB is astounding. 

Anyone?

Unfortunately, in light of the recent announcement regarding Catalina, we don’t expect a new release for AccountEdge in the immediate future with a compliance release for this payroll year still being investigated. We'll have more information on that situation closer to the end of the payroll year. 

In saying that, AccountEdge will continue to operate with all its current functionalities on the Mojave operating system for the foreseeable future.

Surely we've all waited long enough for an answer from MYOB. No one wants to switch to a new accounting system "on the fly," it needs to be a planned roll out.

Will we be able to load new tax tables for the 2021 fin year?

I cannot believe MYOB's scant diregegard for long term clients. It's infuriating!

@Steven_M will our exisiting Account Edge V 18.5 data file work using the latest version Account Right? 

We could access this via Parallels on the mac. 

What's the process for migration if any and costs involved please?

Hi @SMM 

Due to significant changes in the database, an AccountEdge company file is not able to be migrated across to AccountRight. Should you wish to consider moving to AccountRight we do recommend setting a date in your AccountEdge company file to get the customer, supplier and account balances as at. You would then create a company file in AccountRight before entering that information via Setup>>Balances or the Easy Setup Assistant.

This is really bad service from MYOB and terrible treatment of loyal clients. We've paid software support and renewal for about 15 years. 

Will MYOB be offering assistance with migrations? In my past experience inporting and exporting within MYOB in not a seamless process. Not to mention costly and time consuming.

When will we know if we can get 2021 tax tables?

A very unhappy client....
