NEW COMPANY

Account Edge Pro for Mac - I need to add a company. Can I copy settings across from current company so that I don't have to create new general ledger accounts, etc?

Although you cannot copy settings themselves across from one company file to another, certain information can be brought across from one company file to another. This is done by exporting information out of one file and importing it into another.

 

You could use this too bring across information like customer cards and the ledger accounts so that you didn’t have to enter them in the new file. This is done by going to File >> Export and choosing what you want to export, before importing the information using File >> Import in the new file.

 

Only the information listed in the export window can be exported out, which does mean that certain information cannot exported. This includes payroll categories and bank reconciliations
