Single Touch Payroll for AccountEdge

As a small business we need to be up and running with STP by 1 July 2019.

I am the only staff member who does/can do the payroll, however there are only two of us on that payroll so not large.

However, I will be on leave from end May to August, so I MUST get STP organised before I leave.

When will AccountEdge have STP compatability please?

A sense of urgency prevails!!

Thanks.

Agree.  Both STP and a cloud option for AccountEdge seem well behind where they need to be to keep clients...

Re: Single Touch Payroll for AccountEdge

Hi @Lozz & @TraceyR

We are actively working on an update to AccountEdge to make it Single Touch Payroll compliant. Due to testing and additional development work, we are still working on a release date of that update. More information will be available closer to that release date of the software.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Single Touch Payroll for AccountEdge

Hi @Lozz

I'd say enjoy your holiday and sort it out when you get back. Employers with under 5 employees can report at the end of the quarter. Even if you had more than 5, the ATO will be quite lenient as they know STP is a big shift for many small businesses. Many over 20 employers still have not started to report and they were due to start 1 July 2018.

When you do get set up, and say you lodge your first STP report  on 30 Sep 2019, this will bring you fully up to date as each STP report is for year to date data.

Regards

Gavin

Steven

That is a word-for-word reply that you gave to the same question in April 2018.  A date, please!

Re: Single Touch Payroll for AccountEdge

Hi @IainT

Currently, additional development work is being done on the AccountEdge build due to an error discovered within the testing phase. Once that development work has been completed and additional testing that version will be made available to clients.

At this stage, as development is still underway we don't have an expected release date for that version. However, we do understand that clients are eager to get signed up and utilising payroll reporting ahead of the end of the payroll year.

Kind regards,
Steven
