Practice online dashboard - Advisory

I am concerned with the attached report from Advisory tool.  It shows one of the debtors of a clients account overdue on a negative amount....

I have looked at the account and run an aged debtors report but cannot find any sign of this amount overdue...

can someone explain why this might happen like this?

Regards

Re: Practice online dashboard - Advisory

Hi

Out of curiosity, could you check the Receivables Reconciliation report for that Customer Card file for November 17?

From the screenshot it seems to be showing the figures in that period and the Receivables Reconciliation is the best report to run to look back through older figures as the Aged Receivables only looks at current debtors.

Please let us know what you find!

Re: Practice online dashboard - Advisory

Will do... I wondered why Nov 17 as it was supposed to be a report on the March Quarter 2017-18... then I saw the dates floating above the title...

Re: Practice online dashboard - Advisory

I have done as you suggested and didn't find anything obvious.  I ran the report on the 30/11; 1/11; 1/10; and 30/12/17 but nothing strange showed up.

If she had a large overpayment/credit it should have showed up in this report.

I have lodged a support ticket with MYOB and see what they come up with.

Thanks

Re: Practice online dashboard - Advisory

Hi Deb

That's my bad I was looking at it differently.

So my understanding with the "Current Top Debtors" view, we should be viewing the same details as in the Business Insights Aged Receivables section.

The fact that there is a negative value suggests there is a Credit Note listed for that Customer over a month old.

I was able to replicate by adding in an older Credit Note and Advisor then presented this:

If we go to:

1. Open the Sales Register.

2. Go to Returns & Credits

3. Ensure the Customer is specified.

4. Could you check if there is a Credit Note here?

Like So:

Please let us know what you find!

Re: Practice online dashboard - Advisory

Yeah Nuh

No outstanding credit notes.   I checked all the way back to 01/07/16 and in all there are 5 credit notes but all have been allocated.  and none of them are for the amount stated in the report.

I have put in a report to support so I will see what they say.

Thanks for your ideas

regards

Debbie
