API response header 200 OK, but body gateway timeout, result = duplicate posting

API response header 200 OK, but body gateway timeout, result = duplicate posting

Hi all, just to let you know that I have received an API response (to a transaction posting) that says 200 OK in the header, yet the body says gateway timeout, and the result was that a transaction was posted twice. Our code picked up the timeout message and re-tried the posting. 

 

I have raised a query with the API team.

Hi all, my thanks to the API devs; for the first time in a long while, there were no API errors, and our retry code is redundant! Hoping this will continue.
