Bank reconciliation out of balance

I have not been able to reconcile the banking since the updates and changeover to the new super portal within MYOB. It keeps giving me two different balances for the months I have tried to reconcile.  I have a super transaction which was processed and reveresed but all super payments have been made. I cannot get thru on the phone to MYOB due to long wait periods, over 1 hour on hold. I do not have time for that. The accountant said there have been other clients with this problem too but they cant work out how to fix since the bank balance at the end of each month is correct.

Thank you for your post. I wonder if you have since found the solution?

 

Generally speaking, in the new Essentials/MYOB Business, if a Pay Superannuation transaction was recorded then reversed, you can go to Payroll > Super payments to tick these contributions again then record a new Pay Super transaction and authorise the payment. If the payment was already made to the super fund, then you can consider recording a Spend Money transaction or general journal to update the account balances instead of recording a new Pay Super transaction, this is to avoid paying it again. 

 

Once the account balances are updated you shall be able to reconcile the bank account.

No this did not help.  I did what was suggested and every time i go to do BRR it gives me a new out of balance.  I cant just keep creating spend transactions.  Any other solutions?? I am considering whether to import a new bank statemnt to see if that will solve the issue.

I lodged a ticket with MYOb two weeks ago and they ran a script but it did not work. Im still waiting for the issue to be resolved!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ive been advised to create a spend invoice, done that multiple times and still out of balance.  Im almost at the point where I am going to import a new bank statemnt to the feed to see if that resolves it.  It is a MYOB issue which it seems many people are having that MYOB CANNOT BE BOTHERED FIXING!!!!

I too waited on hold for 3 hours to be told they cant fix it!!!!!!!!! They ran a script and NOTHING!!!

Sorry to hear you are still having bank reconciliation problem after contacting our phone support team. If you use bank feeds, please do not import bank statements, it will create a double up.

 

In order for me to assist further I would need more information, as I do not know what has/hasn't been recorded in the business file, the steps you took and the corresponding result. Could you please let us know the following so we can look into it further for you?

 

- Is the out of balance amount exactly the same as the super payment amount?

- After recording one Spend Money transaction for the super payment, how did you go about reconciling this Spend Money transaction, the original Pay Super transaction and its reversal? 

- Please provide a screenshot of the Reconcile Accounts window, showing the account, statement date, the balances, and the 3 transactions mentioned above are ticked.

- A screenshot of the Bank Transactions window, showing the super payment bank feeds transaction is matched to either the Spend Money transaction or the original Pay Super transaction.

 

Any other details/screenshots are welcomed as well, please feel free to cover sensitive information if any.
