Custom templates no longer available

September 2022

 

since the update my custom templates are gone

invoice & quote numbers don't follow

converting a quote to a invoice the date dose not update

now a very awkward software to use

 

A very user unfriendly version of MYOB

 

maybe time to try another accounting program?

any recommendations?

Hi @terry60 

 

I'm sorry to hear you're not liking the newer MYOB Essentials platform. You can create new custom templates by following the instructions in this Help Article: Set up your sales templates

 

If your invoice and quote numbers are not following the previous sequence you can reset the auto-numbering sequence by manually entering the desired number. The software will then remember the new sequence. If the new sequence is not remembered immediately, manually enter the number a few times and it will reset.

 

When converting a quote to an invoice all previously entered data remains the same, you will need to make any required changes.

I had custom templates made in myob
but after the updated software they disapeared
So I had to re-make new invoice & quote templates
This new verison also has reduced the size of my logo
& will not let me make it the size I had
Frustrating
 
If my last activity was doing quotes
then I need to do a invoice 
The invoice number will follow the last quote number 
Frustrating
 
If I convert a quote to a invoice 
it’s dose not update to the current date
or pick up the next invoice number
Very Frustrating
 
Printing a copy of a invoice 
gives me your access web link printed across my invoice 
 Very Frustrating
 
The last time myob did a update for Mac 
It took months till you fixed problems 
(I had problems like not being able to email invoice direct
I needed to create a pdf save it to the desktop then email)
 
How long this time?
