Just got upgrade last week. Like most people here, wasted 5 hours finding inaccuarte prepopulated data in the new platform, so I can pay my staff in the weekend. The payroll process used to take 5 mins.
Chatted online, got told it is some other team's issue, got passed on, waited for another 2 hours in front of my PC. no one attented me.
Called on the phone, after 1 hour, spoke to one person. "oh too technical, let me pass you on, 16 mins wait time". This turned out to be 2 hours plus wait time.
Then a technician finally handled my call, only to tell me "we have no access to Phone App here". What a joke.
The technician did spent another hour learning himself and asking his team leader to help and at least get me do half of what I wanted/needed on a browser!
I feel sorry for the MYOB tech support.
I am extremely disappointed with MYOB management that let this happens. Wasting so many hours of customers time by force releasing a product with so many problems is not acceptable. It is disrespecting its customers and act of aggorance that its customers would stick with MYOB. Not equiping your tech support team to have the right tool to help its customer is bad management.
I hope MYOB management will learn from it, and apologise.

Mine just upgraded since yesterday. It's already horrible. Most of my screen is taken up with headings and I have to continually scroll down to see the information I want. To simply view a list of outstanding invoices with all the basic information on one line on one page (ie. name, invoice number, date issued, date due, amount and total amount due and whether it was emailed and has been viewed) is not possible. I have to go into mutiple screens to collect all this information. Not even doing a report can give me this basic information in one place unless I do an expanded version giving me pages and pages to either print out or scroll through with information I'm not requiring. 5 lines per customer. I just want one line with the basics as I had prior to the upgrade. Have had a quick look at the rest and it looks much the same. Dreading it if I get even some of the other issues that are on this forum.
Thanks MYOB, I won't be ringing, stopped wasting my time doing that a long time ago. Will rely on your customers for help, despite me paying you for this service. My daughter just switched to Xero, I'm predicting I'll be following sometime in the near future.

That's correct - the Dashboard and Invoice list don't match!! I've posted about this but MYOB ignores it.
The usual way for my clients to chase up invoices is through the invoice list. In one newly upgraded client, the dashboard says (correctly) that there is $55k owing. The invoice list says $11k. If we click the Load More button lots of times then click the dates back and forth a few times, the total grudgingly comes up to $15k which is still $40k short of what's owing.
It's an absolute disgrace.
MYOB has great ideas but doesn't actualy complete any of them - so nothing actually works correctly.
Teams is another unbelievable mess. I don't suggest it anymore to any clients as I've already wasted too many of my clients' time trying to set it up when it's not really capable of tracking anyone but the most basic payments.

The new Essentials update is really bad. Come on MYOB you charge enough, make a program that actually makes your customers' lives easier rather than harder!!!!!

Yup - disgraceful customer service. The update is terrible and has made the process of accounting harder rather than easier. I am not happy and see this as an inferior product!!
