When I demonstrated LiveAccounts early on to an accounting firm I get referrals from the initital response was "What about User Accounts and restricted access"? Any plans on this front?
Any update on whether this is still on the road map?
We run a school P & C, including a canteen, uniform shop, music program, fundraising program.
We would like to be able to provide "view" access to some users so they can keep track of bank transactions and when bills are being paid, since they do not have access to our online banking (only office bearers are allowed access to bank accounts).
I support this idea as well. I want to provide some other users with read only access so they can see the information but not have the ability to change it.
I know there have been previous discussions on the request for limited user access for Essentials, some dating back to 2016, but I just spoke with MYOB and they are still working on it, (21-07-20). Is anyone else frustrated by this? I need to give my staff access to quoting and nothing else. If you are having trouble, please comment. Maybe if there are enough of us, MYOB might make it a priority. Thankyou.
Agreed - frustrating - we also only want to give access to invoicing/quotes to staff but untill myob implements a restricted user area like accountright we cant give access - very annoying
It would be great if we are able to setup different access restrictions for different users in Essentials, similar to the function in AccountRight files.
The current Administrator/Standard Users categories are too generic and offers little options to place certain restrictions eg payroll access on different users.
