Am trying to set up long service leave for employees without success. Why is it that there is no facility to accrue long service leave within the payroll system rather than have to keep oither manual records?  Seems a basic requirement for any payroll system.   Has anyone been able to do this?    We are now paying per employee so would expect that payroll should hae the ability to cover ALL types of leave accruals. ... As you can see in the attched screenshot, it is very difficult to see the supplier names clearly so it would be usefule if in the bills owing screen you could edit the width of the columns or it should automatically show the name in full. ... View more

Hi Team,   The new Bank Transactions window needs to have a Refresh option that will refresh the list of unallocated transactions using your current preferred options.   At the moment, if you use the [F5] key to refresh the window, the screen reverts back to the default sort order of oldest on top.  If you have the entries sorted into any other order, these preferences are lost.   Please direct your development efforts to making this software much easier to use.   Thanks,   AlanT   ... I was recently upgraded to the new MYOB and it should have had more testing before being rolled out to everyone.  1. When creating a quote it uses the next invoice number.  2. When the quote has been created invoices are no longer in order as you don't win all quotes. The old system had numbers starting with Q for quote and then when the button was pressed to create invoice from quote it would get the next available invoice number. 3. When you hit the button create invoice from quote it doesn't update the date to the current day and if you send it the invoice is overdue straight away. 4. To many unused coloums. 5. Coloum width too narrow and a lot of wasted space. 6. Support difficult to reach on the phone 7. Phone app doesnt always save quotes. 8. Computer have to have items from inventory. cant have random text like before.  9. Can't change the order of the line items in the quote if you want to rearrange some items.    To be honest I am pretty dissapointed in the new product. I want to go back to the old one. ... Hi Team,   The ability to attach supporting documents to a General Journal or Receive money transaction is long overdue.   I have the situation where I like to attach the payment slip for our BAS to the payment that we make each time we lodge a BAS however this quarter the BAS results in a refund.   I cannot enter this transaction as a minus payment and when I create a Spend money transaction, I cannot attach a copy of the BAS for later reference.  As I am unable to attach a document to a General Journal entry either, the system has once again failed to be an efficient product to use.   Regards,   AlanT ... Please produce a report that shows annual leave liabilites in dollar value, this is espeically important at the financial year end. Having it in hours is not helpful to an external accountant, as the report essentially doesn't give them any information. We were using Ace Payroll before we moved to MYOB Essentials and their "Leave Owing Report" had the Days Owing, Daily Rate and the Amount for each employee, with a Total Holiday Pay Owing for the company at the bottom. ... Please allow us to edit the Payslip template in MYOB Essentials.     I have employees who are on hourly and some on salary.  The hourly rate showing on the salary payslip and the annual salary showing on the casual hourly rate payslip is misleading and looks very unprofessional.   The layout of the Payslip is also not well thought out.  Very sad indeed.   "Payslips" ... Hi.    Does anyone know how to hide a Bank Account from the Dashboard of MYOB Essentials This account is inactive and Bank Feeds have been cancelled   My only other option is delete the account, but I dont want to do that as i am not sure of the problems this may cause as the bank account was used in the past   Any help is appreciated as MYOB Suport are saying this is a rare problem and they have been looking into this for the past week ... Until the recent in tray "upgrade" I was able to drag and drop from MS outlook into banking transactions - things such as pdf receipts and invoices. This allowed for multiple documents to be dropped at the same time. However I am no longer able to do this despite that fact it was WAY WAY WAY quicker than uploading to intray and then trying to sort out which files need to be attached to which transaction.    So 2 suggestions: 1. Re-enable drag and drop function into expanded bank transactions. 2. In teh meantime, allow multiple files to be selected from the in tray to be uploaded into a bank transcation.   The current system is much more cumbersome and requires several more steps than necessary.   ... Hello  In the new MYOB you cannot print multipule invoices, this is very frustrating. When using the old platform you could select the invoices and then hit print. Now you have to select an invoice and down load that invoice and then print the pdf, this is a very long process and needs to be rectified. Its added so much time to my day and also now i have hundreds of downloaded pdf's of invoices I dont need.   Please let me know how we can print multipul invoices   Regards Emma ... View more

My business transitioned to the new MYOB Essentials a few days ago (January 2023) and I have run my first pay run, it has been quite the journey!  This idea would significantly increase efficiency and save me much needed time as this now takes a lot longer to do!   When doing a pay run, every time I edit a wage pay item (e.g. entering the number of weekday, weekend hours they work) it recalculates and causes me to wait several seconds before I can enter the next value. I have 4 wage pay items for each employee (week day, Saturday, Sunday, public holiday), multiply this by 50 employees and this means a LOT of extra wasted time. Would prefer if it didn't calculate until I finished with that employee, or if when it calculates it doesnt lock all the other fields. ... View more

We use the In Tray copiously and match transactions to payments wherever possible. Usually this is to transactions that have come in from the bank.   Bank transactions view Ideas: I'd love to see an indicator beside a bank line where there's a suggested match from the In Tray. This suggested match could be based on the date and value extracted from the file. Similar to old Essentials. If certainty is 98%+ I'd like those attachments to be attached without user input. Clicking the suggestion icon could immediately link the attachment to this transaction.   Bank lines with attachments have an icon already. Clicking this icon could open a modal preview of the attachment, its OCR details, and a button to immediately "un-link" the attachment(s). Effectively as an un-do for the one-click or automated attachment methods noted above.   Areas that could be improved: The "View" link opens a new window with a download prompt. A modal preview or new tab to web-view rather than download would be much faster for us.   The In Tray picker is sorted by file upload date, probably the least useful option. It'd be more helpful to sort it with suggested matches at the top, highlighted, then the rest by effective date with those dates that are relevant to the transaction above others.   The In Tray picker is a radio button but it needs to be a checkbox allowing multiple selections.   When an attachment is linked to a bank line, it can only be downloaded or unlinked. A View option in a modal or new window would be preferable.   In Tray view: If suggested matches are re-implemented, the apparently matching bank line (showing date, value, and a truncated description; when clicked show full details in a tooltip) could be added under the relevant file row, with a button to immediately Attach the item and remove it from the In Tray view.     In essence I miss suggested matches! And making it easier to pair evidence with transactions would be very helpful. Cheers ... View more
