MYOB Business (Browser) Idea Exchange

I provide all my business to business quotes as price + GST. The tool currently defaults to 'tax included', which has repeatedly cost me 10% on deals when I'm doing batches of invoices at month end.   My request is that either, MYOB will use some machine learning to define my habit and default quotes and invoices to my preferred settings, or, that there is a configuration option added so that I can change the default.   Thanks, Jeff   "Tax excluded by default in quotes and invoices" ... It would be great to be able to access/update customer details directly from the "Invoice" screen on MYOB Essentials. Currently if you want to check that you have the correct email or contact person you are invoicing, you have to close the invoice, search and edit contact details if necessary and then once you've saved the updated details, search and open the invoice again before you can send it. This seems to be tediously time consuming! After the upgrade on Essentials it has become quite a process just to print an invoice. Before the upgrade we had a print button on the create invoice page which was easy, now we need to "View PFD" then click on another link which takes us to an online invoice which then allows for printing.  That is ridiculus. Currently LiveAccounts only offers a GST exclusive Item Sell price and two decimal places for the price.   This causes issues like the following: A $36 inc. GST price becomes 31.40. Which then means if I invoice for a couple of these, the invoice (GST inclusive) displays: a unit price of $35.99  -  I want $36 a total of $71.99  -  this is neither the $72 figure I wanted nor 2x $35.99 Please add either a GST inclusive Item Sell price or 3 decimal places for GST ex.   Many thanks!   "Item Sell price including GST OR 3 decimal places" ... As you can see in the attched screenshot, it is very difficult to see the supplier names clearly so it would be usefule if in the bills owing screen you could edit the width of the columns or it should automatically show the name in full. ... View more

If I transfer money from one account to another and it comes up in a bank feed,   When I press the option to allocate it to a transfer between accounts, and then manually create an entry, i wish the amount would be pre-entered into the form.   I always have to go back, look at the amount, write it down and then go to manually enter the transfer again.   Massive pain.   "Record a transfer between accounts" ... I would like to see a Session Report and Audit Trail style reports available in LiveAccounts.     The Session Report will allow us bookkeepers / accountants to print off the list of adjustments we did and forward to the client so they can learn the best coding practices.     The Audit Trail report would show which user has done what when - so we can see if/when a transaction has been adjusted and why.  This allows the owners to keep track of what their employees have done as well as which transactions have been editied by their bookkeeper or accountant. ... I agree with the other users who have asked for a discount column (in both invoices and expenses). It was the one feature that almost convinced me not to switch from AccountEdge to LiveAccounts.   Also, the fact that price fields are limited to 2 decimal points now means that when the total GST inclusive price shows up, it is often incorrect. For example, if an item sells for $3.50 including GST, it is set up in the item list as having a price of $3.18 excluding GST, but then when entering an invoice, say somebody bought 10 of this item, the total price including GST comes out at $34.98, not $35. A fix would be either to increase the number of decimal places or to allow a GST inclusive option in the item details. This is wasting a lot of time for me.   "Discount column... PLEASE!" ... I was recently upgraded to the new MYOB and it should have had more testing before being rolled out to everyone.  1. When creating a quote it uses the next invoice number.  2. When the quote has been created invoices are no longer in order as you don't win all quotes. The old system had numbers starting with Q for quote and then when the button was pressed to create invoice from quote it would get the next available invoice number. 3. When you hit the button create invoice from quote it doesn't update the date to the current day and if you send it the invoice is overdue straight away. 4. To many unused coloums. 5. Coloum width too narrow and a lot of wasted space. 6. Support difficult to reach on the phone 7. Phone app doesnt always save quotes. 8. Computer have to have items from inventory. cant have random text like before.  9. Can't change the order of the line items in the quote if you want to rearrange some items.    To be honest I am pretty dissapointed in the new product. I want to go back to the old one. ... When I went to Reports to get our customer list, I was surprised that the list was not ordered alphabetically. I'm surprised that I even have to post it as a subject, because it is such an obvious thing that lists must be arranged alphabetically or in some other workable order to be useful. What is the point of having a randomly mixed list of customers? It's impossible to find a name there quickly, which is why you need one. So, MYOB developers can you please make changes so that the customer or supplier lists are generated an alphabetical order. The contacts are indeed listed alphabetically when you reach them through View Contacts, however when one needs to have them printed out, the list in Reports is generated in a random fashion.   Thank you.   "Contacts" ...
