MYOB Business (Browser) Idea Exchange

The current report options for Suppliers (EXPENSES) is inadequate. MYOB Essentials needs to behave the capacity  to choose which Supplier is needed for a report instead of "ALL" in the drop down box. Report Options for saving documents should be either XL Spreadsheet or PDF.  The only option at the moment is in PDF Format. Expenses History is really useful to see onscreen, because the ability to view one supplier at a time is available, but without the option for saving this report, it's not very helpful. In sending Quotes to clients I would like the ability to include payment details in the template.  I often require a deposit for my services and would prefer not to send an actual invoice unless requested by the client.   I would also like the option to remove the AMOUNT DUE field from the bottom of the quote template - or change the text to reflect that it isn't actually an amount due.   "Adding payment details to the Quote template" ... When sending statements, it would be handy to have banking detail information displayed on there similar to the way they are displayed on invoices so that customers can settle their accounts immediately.  Afterall, is that not the purpose of supplying clients with statements? ... View more

Transfers betwen different bank accounts often do not have the same date.   In this case MYOB will not match the transactions, despite ALL the other transaction information being identical.   Can we please have a Date Threshold setting for transfers so that we can control the matching process as follows:   IF the AMOUNTS match AND the REFERENCE fields match AND the transaction dates ARE WITHIN X DAYS  then offer it as a potential matching transaction for the user to confirm.   By all means leave the default behaviour as (DATES MUST MATCH) but for more capable users, the above feature would make life a hell of a lot easier when dealing with inter-account bank transfers.   thanks .. I, and others would find it helpful, if we were able to search for an invoice by entering a name or keyword, we expect would be in it.   Example, we do a lot of shipping service work for a fishing company.  The invoices all go to the company, but they have many ships we service.  I cannot see a way, that we could search that companies, hundreds of invoices....by a single ship name or keyword.  For later refernce of what work we have performed in the past.  Can this functionality be implemented?   "Searching invoice details by a keyword" ... Yes deleting bank feeds would be fantasic right now! For some reason my bank feeds have dates on transactions don't match my actual bank statement dates. (I'm asking my bank about this) This makes it hard to reconcile my accounts and put the correct data in for quarterly bas returns! I find for around half of my allocating of transactions, I have to click the [more] link at the bottom of the normal codes (typically cost of sales and owners equity accounts), and scroll past a bunch that I never use or only use once or twice a year.   It would be really helpful to be able to have these codes bring up the regularly used accounts first, either through some sort of algorythym, or user selection.  The time saved on transaction coding would be significant for many people.   "Allocate me - most frequently used accounts" ... I would like to see MYOB essentials updated so we can show Annual Leave available and Annual leave accrued - or even better a total leave available, on the payslips. Can you please move the ADD LINE and DELETE LINE Buttons to an area where they do not take up there own line/space (under where the details and amount is enter or even make them smaller) to move the Details Entry Area up the screen further, which in turn will move  the totals etc but particularly the Save, Save  &  Add Button up so that these buttons appear on the display in front of you and you don't have to keep scrolling down to hit the Save, Save  &  Add Button, as you need to do this with every transactions but don't use the ADD LINE or DELETE LINE with every transaction.  Particularly when working on laptops and smaller screens   "Spend Money - MYOB Essentials" ... I appreciate that Essentials Payroll is a basic payroll, however it would be appreciated if some necessary adjustments could be made:   * A casual employee doesn't have to have their 8% paid in every pay.  They can receive the 8% when they finish up.  There is currently nothing to change this and so we have to make them part-time which isn't right.   * A part-time employee doesn't necessarily get a lieu day when they work on a stat day if that is not their normal working day.  They get time and a half, but a lieu day isn't a given.  As above if I put my casuals in as part-time, they don't get a lieu for working a stat, but the system gives them one and there is no work around.   * There is no legal requirement to show Annual Leave on payslips.  More options here would be great.   A nice to have: * We have one particular client that can't split their time to different divisions and for that to come through into their different codes on the accounting side.  For example they have one employee that does baking, then spend time on the retail side and they want to split her wages between two different codes.   Thanks   Mandy   "Essentials Payroll" ... I like to keep track of my invoices by a code for each customer, ie John Smith would have JS001, Sams Auto Garage SAG001. (partly to keep how many invoices i have issued confidential to me)   When i make an invoice and select the customer, it would be nice not to have to save the invoice part way through and  go through my old invoices for that customer and work out what number comes next, because if i neglect to change the invoice number from SAG002 to JS002 i send the wrong coded invoice to a customer. When the Transaction History is opened the default starting date seems to be 1 July 2013, rather than a remembered previous date or a default date set by the user. Can this be fixed/changed? It seems silly to be downloading all the YTD transactions when mostly all you want to see is the last few days or perhaps the current month. When clicking on the transaction in the banking window and then asking to match to invoice.  There needs to be a seach at the side where you can put in customer name, inv no. etc.  Very hard to locate the transaction when there are over 100 invoices waiting for payment in such a 2 inch high search screen also :(   "Customer Payments" ...
