Hi
Have posted this and the next couple before but not as ideas :)
When adding, searching or editing items, contacts, invoices or going to and from invoices, expenses, bank etc PLEASE PLEASE can we go back to the screen we were just previously on, not back to the start. Wouldn't it be great to be able to select previous page required by back key or drop down.

I would love to have the save and add button seperated from the 'save' and drop down menu button in the invoicing section. I have no idea why one would like this merged with the save button when creating invoices.... It use to be a seperate button and now you have to click save and choose from the drop down list which of course adds more time to my daily invoicing. When you are completing dozens of invoices at a time, it becomes really frustrating, when it use to be so simple!!
Can we please change it back????

Please can we have the ability to customise our forms, invoices and statements etc? I want to be able to include my logo on my statements. I'd love to be able to add to my invoices a paypal (or other) web address for people wanting to pay by credit card. I'd like to be able to change the wording on emailed invoices. Arrrgh. So frustrating!

Hello I'd love to be able to change the default email message on the MYOBLIVE invoices emailed to customers. At the moment I have to change each one individually. Currently it reads (and I think it reads rather terse and impersonal):
To ******,
Invoice IV00000049 for $113.85 is attached. Payment for this invoice is due by 24/12/2013.
Regards, Nicole Begg Phone: 03 *** **** Email: nicole@***********.co.nz
Thanks for your consideration!

The following reports in LiveAccounts should be clearly marked as Cash or Accruals basis in the browser reports before it is exported:
Profit & Loss Statement
GST detailed report
Currently this option is hiding under the 'Report Options', and you need to click on this hyperlink to be able to see whether it is cash or accruals.
Whilst the system may remember the last selection, it is very difficult to identify whether someone else has changed the selection since last looking at these reports. It can get very confusing if you expect a certain report based on one accounting method and rely on it to find out later that someone else had changed it to the other accounting method and that you've prepared your BAS / accounts incorrectly.
This used to be clearly shown before it was consolidated and hidden beneath the 'Report options' and I'd like to see it brought back.

I think the Live Accounts dashboard is terrible!
I'd like to see some simple month by month sales and expenses graphs that you could edit the timeframes on to they would show anything from just this month to the past 12 months.
Also, an expense pie chart to show the split of expenses.
Would anyone else like to see this?

Can you bring back the date the bank feed was last updated?
I found this really useful for reviewing budgets - i.e. knowing how much of the month's sales till takings have been downloaded by MYOB, etc.
Ideally it could be placed next to each account amount, after clicking 'In the Bank' on the main page.
Adam.

There's no option to include accounts with a zero balance in the GL Detail report - they just aren't printed.
Many businesses, bookkeepers and accountants use clearing accounts -in their daily and monthly work - e.g. for payroll and electronic bank transfers and these accounts often have nil balances at the month's end.
They need to be able to print out the transactions for these accounts and run a "nil net balance" report, even if just to show that internal control procedures have been followed correctly.
Please help, by including an option to "include accounts with nil balances" in the GL Detail report.
Incidentally, whilst LiveAccounts is designed for clients with little or no accounting knowledge, please don't forget the bookkeepers and acccountants who have to work with them - especially their LiveAccounts Advisers.

You have the 'Sales by Item' report so why not 'Expenses by Item'?
You are able to enter a new Item for each side of the transaction so why not be able to report on both???
Thanks

There is no quote reports yet in Live Accounts.
Could a report be created that shows the "Accepted" quotes in a selected period, therefore giving you the sales for this period?
A sale is generally a customer acceptance of a quote and not when this quote is converted to an invoice. An accepted quote ("a sale") may only be converted to an invoice after a few weeks.

Does anyone agree with me that invoicing in LiveAccounts is severely lacking options????? The stock standard invoice in 4 syle types isn't good enough. I would like to see:-
1. a choice between sales of goods invoices & service invoices
2. an ability to add text boxes & add text to it
3. changing the font size in certain places within the invoice
4. changing the address on the invoice to the postal address & not residential address
What do other people think?????
Due to the fact that I can't get an invoice done to suit my needs I have resorted to keeping my MYOB AccountRight data file open, continuing to create new invoices in it, processing invoice receipts in it & then printing statements from it. I then have to code the same invoice receipts in LiveAccounts to 'Accounts Receivable' & do a jnl once a mth or so to bring in the sales totals into LiveAccounts. Tedious, I know, but this is what I will do until the invoice module of LiveAccounts is improved on.
thank you for your time.
Christine

Can there be the ability to create new accounts while inside a spend/receive money or general journal transaction?
This request was made by usename 71burger in Nov 2011. Status 'to be fixed soon'.

Live accounts seems to be purely mouse controlled. It is very difficult (in fact, impossible) to use the keyboard when, for example, allocating bank transactions or recording data within spend/receive money and general journals.
It would be infinitely easier to be able to TAB through the bank feeds, allocating account names and then TABing to the next line. The TAB key could skip between the 'Description' and then the 'Allocate or Match' and then the 'GST' fields.
The same sort of function should be made available within the spend/receive money and general journal entries. It would be so much simpler to TAB through all the required fields, entering data as you go with the final TAB taking the user to 'Save' where upon the user can simply press the 'Enter' key.
An Ideas Exchange posting by username 'DavidST' back in August 2011 made a similar request. The status of the idea was 'planned':

When entering a BAS payment, the bank fees do not allow an allocation of negative number to be entered.
Live a/c's requires a spend/receive money transacton to be entered and then matched to bank transaction.
Wouldn't it be easier and more efficient just to allow negative number to be recorded?
This function is available in the Banklink program via a 'dissect' function.
When entering a spend/receive money transaction, I need to remember the date of the transaction, which bank to 'Pay From' then the actual numbers and accounts. Seems very inefficient and unnecessary when a simple allocation can take place in the bank feed.

Is it possible to turn off the % split when dissecting a transaction into more than one account?
Also, once a transaction is dissected how do you see the break up of each account?

I've just been reviewing my LiveAccounts file in order to complete the BAS. As a junior completed it, a lot of the GST Tax codes were incorrectly put as GST when they should have been FRE. When trying to change these, I was not allowed to as a payment had been applied.
In order to correct these transactions I would have to delete the payment, adjust the expense transaction and then re-enter the payment. This seems to make it a lot harder than it should be ESPECIALLY when the bank reconciliation has already been done.
I understand that this may be to protect the file integrity however I'm suggesting that the GST code be allowed to change as this shouldn't affect the outcome of the transaction. Just the GST Reporting.
Thankyou
