Everything was going so well and I had my head around all functions of MYOB Essentials. Now they have upgraded us and I am lost with all the changes. Old dog here not needing new tricks!!!! Is there anyone else feeling the pain??

Couldn't agree more, I can't stand the new system, way too complicated and takes so much longer to do anything! I'm actually waiting on the phone now to see if I can switch back to the old format. I don't hold much hope.....Really considering looking at other accounting systems, which I really don't want to do...

In regards to your query, you won't be able to switch back to the old version. one of those reasons being that it doesn't comply with the rollout of STP Phase 2, and with this being required in 2023, you won't be able to move back.

No need for reply, finally got through to customer service, you can't change back unfortunately
I really don't want the hassle of changing accounting packages, however if I have to relearn MYOB, I might as well look for a company that is simpler....like Essentials was.

Sorry, but I think you've made a terrible mistake. I spent an hour this morning trying to get through to customer service hoping I could transfer back to the original Essentials. Unfortunately it can't be done. Apparently the original format doesn't comply with STP2. Surely someone could have worked out a way to make it compliant without making us all use a more complicated system? I've used MYOB for my business for 18 years now and I am truly devastated with these changes to the system. It seriously takes me three times longer to complete my work due to all the extra steps everything takes to complete. It's sad, but I think you are going to have a lot of people leaving for simpler products.

Absolutely! I have other things to do instead of sitting here getting my head around a completely new system with wayyyyyyyyyyy to many clicks and steps required!!!
Especially when your workforce are basically all old schoola nd some of them dont even have a smartphone!!!
