In the older version of myob essentials when you emailed a payslip to an employee it would include the pay period date in the subject field and also in the email message including their name.. like for example:
Hi, {{employee_name}}
Your payslip for the period {{start_payslip_period}} to {{end_payslip_period}} is attached.
(this is just an example)
You were able to have custom email variables like you can do for invoices and quotes. How can I do this for payslips?
Thanks.

Hello @MrUnqiue
Thank you for your post.
With the upgraded MYOB Essentials you are unable to change the layout of the payslips. I have passed this feedback on for you.
I would also suggest posting for this feature on our MYOB Essentials idea exchange board. It is where you can raise or up-vote a feature you would like to see implemented.

Hi, it's not about the payslip layout. It's about the "email payslip" button where as the older version of essentials had more details on the email that was sent to the employee such as "email variables" as myob calls it.
but yes also the look of the payslips aren't as nice as the older ones but my question is about the automatic emails sent to employees for their payslips.

Hello @MrUnqiue
Sorry about my confusion on that part.
This is now called the Pay slip email defaults tab.
If you wanted to include the pay period you would need to change the default message for the payslip email before sending this out.
I understand that this is not ideal and have passed the feedback on about this setting for you.

Can I include these sort of variables into emailing payslips? I guess not anymore.

Hello @MrUnqiue
Sorry for the delay in my response.
You are able to type these variables into your default email messages, as this information would be linked on the sales settings page under the emails tab section.

But it's not for sales but for emailed payslips.
