Personal Leave

Hi - I have a staff member accruing 2.92 hrs personal leave per ftnt - but when she took a day's leave in the latest pay period (7.60 hrs) the accrued leave for the period is showing -7.60. So I cannot see how the 2.92 hrs accrued this period is accounted for?

So that we can look into this with you, were you able to provide a screenshot of the Payroll advice for both periods? 

 

Please hide/remove any sensitive employee or business details from screenshots posted publically.

Thanks Sam - you will see in these 3 shots, 2 periods where she has taken personal leave that the 'accrued' leave is recorded as -7.6. And in the first screenshot - Personal Leave -53.2 hrs was the advice from MYOB to take leave without pay. But this seems completely the wrong way to record it so hoping to find a better way. Appreciate your help!

Hi @MartinLeG,

 

Thanks for sending that screenshot. 

 

It is strange that it is calculating a negative figure (-7.6), as the accrual should not be affected by leave taken. 

 

Could you open the entitlement category and provide a screenshot of the current settings? Payroll>Pay items>Entitlements.

 

Additionally, could you please provide a screenshot of the employee's 'Standard Pay' window? Open employee card > Payroll details > Standard pay.

Thanks Sam - appreciate your help! I can't find 'entitlements' on the Pay Items page though...?

Apologies, it would be the 'Leave' tab you'd need to click, then take a screenshot of the personal leave accrual item settings.

Hi @MartinLeG,

 

Thanks for providing that.

 

Your settings look correct and do not appear to be the cause of the issue.

 

Were you able to replicate the pay run that caused the issue through a test/dummy pay run, to see if the issue persists? I just want to see if it was a one-time glitch, or persistent.

So after 4 hours on the phone with MYOB - the final solution was: In Pay Items/Personal Leave - need to select check box 'automatically adjust base hourly or base salary details'.
