SMSF - Membership Number

Am using MYOB Essentials, an employee has now a SMSF,  have created a new super fund and entered the details (ABN, ESA and Bank details), but I want to know do I need to enter a Membership Number, and if so, what number do I use as it's a SMSF?

We haven't come across employee membership numbers for self-managed superannuation funds. That said, you can enter a number on the card that recognises the employee.

Therefore, when performing super payments via MYOB (Superchoice), the employees with SMSF's (the Membership Number is blank) the Super payment will still go through and not get rejected or refunded back into the business account?  I just need clarification from MYOB that the above is the case.

If the SMSF is correct, the super payments will not get refunded. If they do get refunded for some reason, we can check the details for why it was refunded/rejected and advise accordingly.
