Hello,
Can you please add automatic emailing (sending to client) of recurring invocies as they are created in MYOB ESSENTIALS?
What is the point of setting up recurring transactions if you have to log in every day, week or month after the invoice is "created" just to email/send it to the client every time?
If I want to send a "recurring" invoice, it means just that, send the **bleep** thing out on that particualr day each time for however many times I want it to or until whatever date - not just create an invoice for me this many times and I'll just make a note in my diary to come back and press "send email" each time because I don't trust what I've already set up.
The whole point of automation is to have less touch points, and for the automation to work end to end and a chieve a task, not just do one bit out of 5 and you have to go in and babysit and nudge it along every step - please let's think about real business application - we don't live to log into MYOB every day.
It seems every other accounting package has this except MYOB, (wave, xero, zoho) and essentials was supposed to be the MYOB's answer to the cloud. If my accountant wasn't forcing me to use MYOB (because they've been on it since Noah was buiding his Ark, and it's "easier for them"), I would definitely recommend using something else. (Side note - even the accountant that uses MYOB uses another package for their monthly recurring invoicing - if that is not a hint, I dont know what is).
Please add this functionality as a priority (I'm sure it is not that hard).

Thank you so much for your post. Currently, MYOB Essentials does not have recurring transactions feature available as it is in AccountRight products. If this feature is an essential feature for your business and would save heaps of time then upgrading would be an option.
Also if you do feel strongly for this feature I would also recommend you to put forward your idea using this "Submit an Idea" on this forum as our developers look at when making enhancements for any of our software.

totally agree the whole myob platform for small business has lost so many features. It is so frustrating we moved from another program now regretting the move !

thanks for the response, but it is pretty basic.
the problem with account right is the offline stuff - it is less mobile/cloud friendly and has more legacy issues.
Essentials is basically your "true" cloud offering, so just dump in all the features, and watch everyone come flooding back.
You guys need to think of this from the perspective of business owners,- make it simple, automate as much as possible so there are much less touch points. We don't wake up in the morning wanting to log into myob for a 12hour marathon.
I want to log in, check some payments or charges, issue a few invoices that will self generate and issue for the next year and get on with my life.
small change, big impact. If you know anyone in the development team or someone who makes decisions there, I'm happy to buy them a coffee or lunch and discuss.
It seems like you already have the tech, just roll it out.

Whilst I appreciate you are the messenger - you are better off trying to give more definitive feedback. Pretend it was you asking the question - what would be a suitable response for you to accept? like:
- Thanks for the suggestion, you need 1,000,000 votes before we can even think of it
- Great idea! What a coincidence, we were thinking the same thing and someone has been on that for the last 3 months and we are currently in beta testing with a scheduled release date of 1 July this year!
- Would love to help, but we only allow one thing to be done at a time, so you are currently number 7,435,267 in the queue, give us the details of your grandchildren, and we'll be in touch.
- We just do what we do when we get around to it - the forum is here just for laughs, if you like it stick around, if not, the boat's that way.
Can you be more specific with the term "soon" - does this have a date or timeframe associated with it? and "once this feature is available" - does that mean someone is physically working on it now? or is it in the "lucky dip suggestion box" when someone is threatened to be fired that they pull this out of their top drawer and does the "look how good I am" dance, "keep me emplyed for the next 5 years so I can work on this idea that is already available elsewhere?"
Note - Accountright is not an option for us - as we use cloud systems not old box PC local set ups.
While your at it - automate Tyro feeds as well. That seems to be hanging around since at leat 2018.
Just trying to make this post a little light-hearted, hopefully it motivates someone to do something. If I ran my businesses this way, I wouldn't have any businesses left.

I suggested this functionality more than a year ago after my accountant convinced me to use Myob and I found that this simple function (that Wave was providing me floorlessly for Free) was not actually in Myob.

I understand your frustration and the importance of having a fully automated system for sending recurring invoices in MYOB Essentials. It can indeed be inefficient and time-consuming to have to manually log in and send each invoice when the whole purpose of setting up recurring transactions is to streamline the process.
