Unable to make changes

Hi

 

Why can we no longer make changes to Invoices?

 

When we try, we get taken to the "Item number" etc. This is very frustrating as we need to change invoices and send these out.

Hi

 

No error message just unable to change Invoice amounts/name/address etc. anything. If we go in to change the Invoice amount, it takes you to the "Item Details" no matter where you click on the Invoice to change, this is where you are directed.  Our Bookkeeper has not changed permissions and she cannot change anything either.

Hi @JohnHold

 

Can you please confirm if you're using AccountRight or the file in the AccountRight browser ? Can you also provide a screenshot of the invoice you're trying to change.

Thanks for the screenshot. Do you usually only have access to the sales, inventory and card file tab ? Can you please go to setup > Preferences > Security tab > Is there a lock period entered in this window ?

Hi

 

I don’t have access to Preferences so I cannot advise and yes we usually only have access to the below, but we have always been able to change amounts etc on our Invoices.

Thanks for the details. So we can investigate can you please get a user who has access to the preference window to check to see if there is a lock period set. Also can they provide a screenshot of that window.

Hi Melissa

 

Our Bookkeeper, who is on holidays at the moment, has gone in & she cannot change anything either, with no locked period. She cannot take a screen shot as she is on a cruise.

 

She has 20 other Companies she does bookkeeping for and said our MYOB is the only one that she/we cannot make changes to.

 

We are now very concerned.

Hi @JohnHold

 

Does the bookkeeper have administrator access ? If she does can she please sign into the file and go to File > Switch company file user > Can she sign in as Administrator and no password.
