Updating client codes in practice manager

Hi all, 

I'm considering updating a large number of client codes in MYOB so that the client codes on the different software platforms I use will become universal. Is there any negative to altering the codes? All of my reports are ordered using data not relating to the code, so I don't think it will change my report data. I've run a test invoice and the invoice shows with the invoices relating to the previous client code. Are there any impediments apart from the time it will take to manually alter the codes one by one?
