When attempting to change existing email address to the updated email address the Contacts will not allow this to happen. It tells me that the email address does not correspond with the current email address. This is required to be fixed up.

Thank you for your post. Welcome to the Community Forum.
This Help Article, Change login email address, has steps on how to change your login email address. If you are unable to change it, I would suggest creating a new user with that email address. An invitation will then be sent to the new email address. Once the new login has been set up, the old user can be deleted. Note: You need to have Administrator access to do this. You may ask for help from your Administrator if you don't have the access to change your email address.
