Entering Leave as a fixed amount of 152 hrs per year

Since the upgrade I can not have annual leave as a set rate of 152 hours per year. It is now calculated on a % per gross hours. It used to give you options and I cant find them. Tried calling MYOB and on hold for 1.5 hours.

I also have an issue with personal leave. An employee has 8 hours personal leave and I want to use 2 of those hours. It comes up in the payroll process that the employee has no leave left but in his card file it shows 8 hours.

I also cant change the payslip template. This is so frustrating............................. Xero looking better each and every day.

Re: Entering Leave as a fixed amount of 152 hrs per year

Hi @Balbooks

There is a setting in manage employees where you can set the employee to fixed hours or variable hours - yours is set to variable. You need to change it back to fixed hours.

Hi Jennie

I cant find this setting anywhere since the essentials update. Can you please walk me through where I can find it or send a screen shot? It used to have this on the old version.

Re: Entering Leave as a fixed amount of 152 hrs per year

Hi @Balbooks

I'm happy to walk you through these settings.

First you'll need to head to your Payroll dropdown > click into Employees > Click into name of employee > click into Payroll details > Then into Leave. From here you will click into the Name of the entitlement i.e Annual Leave, Sick leave etc.

A window should now open with the entitlements settings, you will then need to adjust these feilds, for example:

leave accrual 2.PNG

leave accrual 3.PNG

Once the necessary changes have been made, press save.

Let me know if you require further assistance with this.

Kind regards,
Sam
