Error with sending email - Please check your MAPI installation

Hi Community,

 

I have recently installed MYOB Account v16 on my newly built Windows 10 PC. I also installed outlook 365, and successfully added my email address.

 

However, now when I try to email invoices directly from MYOB, I get the following error;

"An email session could not be started. Please check your MAPI installation".

 

I have already tried to remove and install MYOB, aswell as updated my default mailing application to Outlook. 

 

Need urgent assistance ASAP, would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Hi @Will_Han 

 

The error "An email session could not be started. Please check your MAPI installation." can occur if you're not using Microsoft Outlook 2007 and later (32-bit) to send your emails.

 

If you are using Microsoft Outlook 2007 and later (32-bit), you can fix this error by uninstalling and reinstalling AccountRight. More information on this issue can be found in this help article
