Bankwest can't give me a .qif version of my bank statements - what do I do?

Hi

I am in the process of setting up my bank feeds, which I seem to have completed.  But, I want to import the last quarters bank transactions so that I can do my reconciliation in MYOB for my BAS.

MYOB told me to phone the bank and ask them to email me a .QIF file.  Bankwest seem to know nothing about this, they told me to copy and paste each line from my on line banking screen into an excel sheet and save as a  .csv.  Not only does this seem a bit backwards, but I didn't think you could even import a .csv into MYOB?

Has anyone encountered Bankwest before?  Or can you give me an easier way of doing this?

Thanks

Re: Bankwest can't give me a .qif version of my bank statements - what do I do?

Hi @hroebuck
What you need to do is log on to your internet banking and view your account transactions. You'll then see an option to export that.  You'll want to export it as a QIF file and save it to your PC.
BankWest has a Help page for that here

You can then import it into Essentials, from Bank Transactions you'll see the Import Statements button.

I hope that helps

Regards

Alan

Thanks so much for that - it worked perfectly!  Annoying that my bank couldn't tell me that :-)
