Can't view/add/edit pay items - Unable to set up STP

Every time I try and view all pay items so I can assign them to ATO reporting categories, i get this error.

 

"Sorry, something's gone wrong on our end. We'll be back up and running ASAP, so please try again soon."

 

I need to be able to have this fixed so I can start STP reporting.

 

Please help!!

Can you please take a look Ems post, on this help article. Please follow the list of troubleshooting steps to check on your computer settings which may resolve the error you are receiving.

Thanks Melisa however I'm using Essentials and not AccountRight.

 

I really need this fixed - please advise.

My apologies for the misunderstanding, can I clarify if you have your payroll settings set up ? This can be found by clicking on your business name on the top right hand corner of essentials > Payroll settings.

Yes payroll settings have been set up.  I can process payroll without any problem.  I just can't view Pay Items.  I have tried selecting the employee and then clicking on Pay items - earnings and deductions as well as selecting the Pay items from the drop down menu in Payroll.  If it helps, I have attached a screen print of the error I receive.

As I can't allocate any pay items I therefore can't complete the setup of STP.

Hi @Relle13

 

Thank you for the update on that. 

 

Can I please clarify the following; 

  • Are you using Google chrome to set up STP ? if not can you try this in chrome and does the same thing happen ?
  • What happens if you click into Payroll > Payroll reporting, Does an error appear automatically ?
