Deleting a Pay

Hi, I'm trying to delete a pay - using essentials (and have done it before...but not currently saving)

- Employees

- Pay Histroy

- Delete

- Yes

- Save...nothing happens and pay reappears.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

Re: Deleting a Pay

Hi @Zoe_Bookkeeper

Sounds like you have the correct process i.e. navigate to the required pay in the employee's record, select the Delete cross and then select Save.

I've come across a few cases where the Save button is not working as intended i.e. it is not saving the changes made to the card. Typically, it is to do with a missing a value listed on the card. I would make sure that you have entered a value for the following fields:

  • Last Name
  • Tax File Number
  • $/hr or $/y and hours per week
  • Ticked the option for Delectation in the Tax section

Something that I've also seen is that if you have an Approved withholding variation for Tax for that employee that the box is ticked. If the employee doesn't have an Approved withholding variation you need to ensure that the tickbox is unticked.

Once those have been checked and reviewed you should be able to save the employee record and deletion of the pays.

Let us know how you get on and if you require further assistance.

Kind regards,
Steven

Re: Deleting a Pay

Thanks for your help, it appeared to be the sneaky little box to approve withholding variation for Tax. All solved now Smiley Happy
