Why does the trail balance report in MYOB Essentials never work? I've tried to use it for multiple clients and I always get sad face with the dots just don't join up right now message. Is there a way to get this working?

I've seen this happen for 2 reasons:
1. When using Internet Explorer or Microsoft Edge it causes problems when generating the reports, though when switching to Google Chrome this works.
Could you confirm which Web Browser you're using?
2. Missing information on the Essentials Partner Dashboard. This causes an exception when authenticating and throws an error with that message.

I was using Explorer, when I switched to Chrome the report worked. Thank you for your help.
