I'm enjoying the Essentials experience, but am struggling with searches
How do I find Bank transactions? Is there anything similar to Find Transactions or Find & Code?
Solved! Go to Solution.
Hi Mitch @MitchMM1
Thanks for your post. I'm happy to hear you are enjoying Essentials to help run your business!
For this function in Essentials, go to Banking > Bank Transaction tab where at the top of the screen you will find the option to filter/search by text, code or bank account. You can also filter by transaction type, such as allocated/unallocated/transactions with notes.
I hope this answers your inquiry, if so please mark "Accept as Solution" so other users with this question can find the information easier. Let me know how you go with this.
Sorry being a bit optuse, is the top of the screen you are refering to?
I can see option for allocated, account name, but when I click on them, I can access the transactions.
Yes the image you attached is where you can type in the “with text” field for a specific item or code. Have you set up bank feeds? How are you linking the transactions in Essentials? You need to import statements or have a transaction uploaded for it to show on this screen. I’ll attach the help article Attaching documents to bank transactions to provide information on this.
Let me know how you go with this and I will continue to assist if needed. If your inquiry is resolved, please mark “Accept as Solution” to help other users find this information. Keep me posted!
Sorry my mistake, I should have said access the actual transaction, not just view it to add a code.
If a transaction has been created in Spend, Receive or transfer Money is there anywhere to "find transaction" to see what and how or even when and if it was entered?
I'm good with bank feeds thanks.
Thank you for clarifying. I believe what you're looking for can be found under Banking > Transaction History > Search: You should be able to look for a transaction from entering information there.
Let me know if it's something else you're looking for. If this answers your inquiry please mark 'Accept as Solution' to help other users find this information.
