MYOB 2018 - Reports - Operation Timing Out

MYOB 2018 - Reports - Operation Timing Out

Today, when I try to run any Reports MYOB immediately pops up with the Operation Timeout message.  If I click Retry the timeout message pops back up within half a second.  This was not happening yesterday when I sucessfully ran Sales - Accounts Receivable Summary reports.  I have rung MYOB but my 5-10 min wait has turned into 15+ mins and now after nearly 30 mins I cant tie up the only phone line into the business for any longer

Generally speaking a timeout error means that AccountRight is being asked to process more information than it can handle in a specific timeframe. We do have a timeout extender which I have sent to you in a private message. This can be accessed by clicking on your forum display picture and then clicking on the envelope icon that appears.

 

The timeout extender is designed to lengthen the amount of time AccountRight allows before producing the timeout error. If you were still receiving the error after applying the timeout extender, the next step would be to reduce the amount of information being processed. For reports this would mean reducing the number of things being reported on, such as a shorter timeframe or reporting on fewer accounts / inventory items / cards

We also have multiple times getting "TIMING OUT". 

This is not due to the volume of what we are doing - because it can be when we are entering 1 invoice and updating it.

Also get it when we are posting a receipt batch.

 

Please give me the instructions of extending the timeout function.

I have sent through the timeout extender to you in a private message. This can be accessed by clicking on your forum display picture in the top right hand corner of your screen and selecting the envelope icon that appears.

 

Please note that the timeout extender is designed to extend the amount of time before AccountRight produces a timeout error. If the amount of information being processed was going to take longer than the extended timeframe it would still produce the same error
