MYOB Capture - Now available for both Essentials and AccountRight

 

UPDATE [26/09/2019]: The Capture App is now extended to all AccountRight users! 

 

Thanks for your interest in the MYOB Capture app.  

 

You can now turn your phone into a receipt scanner and downloaded the mobile app from Google Play or the App Store. Also, to find out more about the app and why you should use it, we have more information here - MYOB Capture 

 

We have information below to help you get going with the app and if you have any questions or issues, please feel free to post in this thread and we’ll get in touch as soon as we can.

My apologies, I have just learned that the MYOB Capture App is only for Essentials. 

 

You can however use the MYOB Invoices App. with AccountRight 2019.2.

I have just ammended my comment above in the thread.

 

I have learned that MYOB Capture is not infact able to be used by AccountRight at this stage. This is something that we are working towards for the future.

 

The Invoicing App currently does not have a capture function.

The Invoicing App does not do capture on the the MYOB Capture app does (but it is very handy)

Hi there, 

 

Has any one had trouble finding the new capture app on Google Play for an Andriod phone?

I have successfully downloaded it off the App Store for my iphone however my boss cannot find it anywhere on Google Play for her android. She can see other MYOB apps - just not MYOB Capture.

 

Appreciate anyone's advice or help Smiley Happy

The app is only available if the Store's region is in Australia or New Zealand, if it is set in a different region then it won't show up in search results. However, it might be useful to send them a direct link for them to open on their phone.

 

Here's the link to the Play Store: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.myob.snap

 

For example, if you send it to them as an email for them to open on their phone, then it will automatically launch the Play Store for them to install the app.

 

Let me know if they're still having problems getting the app.

Hi Hayden,

 

Thanks for sending that link through.

I forwaded it onto my boss and this time it did show up on her Google Play however she was unable to download it and a notification in red popped up stating it was because her 'device isn't compatible with this version'. As far as she is aware - her android settings are as update to date as possible. She has also had no trouble downloading other apps including other MYOB ones. What should she do from here?

Thanks for your post.

 

There are some devices that are not supported or incompatible with certain Apps regardless of android settings, however, if the device in question is a popular device that you think would normally have no issues, it may be worth clearing the Google Play store cache and data, restarting the play store (and potentially the device as well) and attempting again to install the app.

 

Just out of curiosity, do you know what device the install is being attempted on?
