MYOB essentials new version

Hi there,

 

I have some issues logging into new version of MYOB essentials.

Client has added me as adviser but I couldn't access their MYOB file.

Do I need to anything other than accepting the invitation? 

 

Also, client has asked me whether we can change the tax invoice format in the new version.

Under the old version, tax invoice will display "GST". Under the new essentials, tax invoice shows "tax" instead of GST. Can we display "GST" for the total in the new version?

Hi @Ann1 

 

Generally, just accepting the invitation should give you access to the file. However, can you please confirm if you get any error message while trying to access it or can't see the file under your login at all? If you cannot see the file under your login, please follow the steps given below: 

 

1. Get your client to log in to the file and change your username to the first part of your email address. For example, if your email address is user.name@somedomain.com, your username should be changed to user.name 

 

2. Your client will then need to log into my.MYOB and uninvite you.

 

3. After uninviting, they will have to reinvite with the same email address. 

 

4. Upon accepting the new invitation, you should be able to access the file. 

 

As far as changing the "tax" field in invoice forms to GST is concerned, this is something that's not possible at this stage, but might be a potential candidate for future development as more customizations are planned for this product range.

Thank you for your reply.

I have tried to follow your step 1 but failed to change the user name. I couldn't save the change.

Then I went to step 2-4 but still unable to add me as advisor.

 

Please find the attached. The username is weird.

Are you able to access the client file and look into the issue?

I have tried twice with your steps.
