Great to hear that a temporary move to Mozilla Firefox has worked for yourself with yesterday's transaction entering.
In terms of tabbing through fields, are you able to indicate what window you are looking at tabbing through? The reason being that some windows such as Take payments, Journal entries...windows will prevent the tabbing of fields by the system (this is across all browsers). However, this is something that is being considered and will be addressed with a change to the platform due out later this year, early next.

I too have been experiencing auto logouts, usually in midst of curcial work, happening for months now is extremely frustration and annoying. Noticed some improvement of late but now starting to auto log out every 5 or so minutes again.
Cleary MYOB hasn't addressed this issue. As a show of good will and faith in their product, MYOB should reduce the monthly subscriptions fees to those affected by this problem until such times the issue is fixed.

I agree, this is really anoying when you are half way through an invoice or payroll and it automatically logs me out. I lose all information entered and have to start again. Not happy considering we pay for this software.

I use an IMac but have downloaded Chrome and use Essentials through Chrome but it doesn't make any difference. Still logs me out at more and more frequent intervals. It is ridiculous that this hasn't been fixed yet. If your inhouse IT people can't fix it, get consultants in and get it sorted.

Well, I have now had a week of entries with no logging out issues!!! The move to Firefox only lasted a day, when the tabbing issue drove me insane, so I tentatively went back to Safari the next day and have had no log out issues... so far (and no tabbing issues!). I don't know why, as I had all the background settings enabled (except the reduction of security) when the 'specialist' called me to discuss the problem. Downloaded Firefox and off we went! I don't think the developers understand the inner workings of the original program. To say that the tabbing of fields is still not available is ludicrous, as it was part of the program I purchased as a CD in the 90s! To not have it as part of the system now is such a backward step. Also, the ability to save recurring transactions (those monthly Telstra invoices!!!) was a highlight of the original program... Maybe I'm an old fuddy duddy, but wouldn't you keep and improve those elements that make the program easier to use, whether it's in the cloud or on CD? Anyway I approach each day with trepidation, in case I get logged out again... but so far, so good.
All I can suggest to everyone experiencing the same logout problems, start commenting about it on the MYOB Facebook page - I commented on every post they had, to let people know that this was happening and within hours I had requests to PM MYOB and let them know the problem. From there they made a time for the 'specialist' to contact me and all is good... so far. I am dreading the "change to the platform due out later this year, early next." that Steven_M has mentioned in his post!

Good to hear you've had some luck with no logging out this week WWLA - unfortunately I can't say the same! I had a 'specialist' contact me too but unfortunately this was of no assistance. (Other than the usual reduce the security settings on your browser - no thanks!) Only just hanging in there (whilst exploring other options) but may there's hope ahead if you've managed to sort yours.

I also use a Mac, and Chrome made no difference at all for me. So frustrating! I don't know if downloading Firefox triggered something in my computer, but it is now allowing me to work in Essentials in Safari with no logouts. Whoever they have working on the 'fix' needs extra training...

Users in our firm are experiencing much frustration with MYOB logging us out continually. Updating browser settings is not an acceptable solution. MYOB need fix this as a priority.

I have tried all the fixers they say to and it is just getting more frustrating
will have to start looking at other programmes as the down time and frustrations
are not worth the money we pay
