Profit and Loss in web browser version

Hi - a client of mine ran their Profit and Loss report in their Accountright desktop version which was 100% correct.  They then logged in via the web browser to try this way of running the reports and found that the Other Income section 8-0000 accounts were totally excluded from the Profit and Loss report.  The net profit is the same in both versions, but the web browser report just totally excludes account 8-1000.

So for example... in Accountright it is displaying as follows:

Total Income is $50,000

Less Total Expenses is $40,000

Operating Profit is $10,000

Other Income is $70

Less Other Expenses is $8,300

Net Profit / (Loss) is $1,770

Whereas the web browser version report is displaying as follows:

Total Income is $50,000

Less Total Expenses is $40,000

Operating Profit is $10,000

Less Other Expenses is $8,300

Net Profit / (Loss) is $1,770

So it's totally excluding the Other income line.  Has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Profit and Loss in web browser version

Hi @Christine_Young

We've tried to replicate this in some of our sample files and the Profit and Loss statement is displaying all the accounts as expected in the browser version. Since it's not working for you, my first recommendation would be clearing the browser cache or switching browsers as sometimes this can be a display issue caused due to corrupt browser cache.

Let us know how you go on.

Kind regards,
Komal

Re: Profit and Loss in web browser version

Thank you so much for looking into this problem - however, I'm unsure how it can be a cache problem when it's me replicating the error that my client got?  So how can we both get exactly the same result where the 8-0000 account codes are not displaying on the profit and loss report.

Hi @Christine_Young

I'm sorry I wasn't aware it's happening on more than one machine. If that's the case, please send me a screenshot of the report and your client's product serial number by Private Message so we can investigate further.

Kind regards,
Komal
