Hi,
I had set up my MYOB Essentials account in July and my bank account wasn't connected until August so I'm not able to see any transactions from my bank account for this July & August.
As I have purchased materials for my business and paid contractors back in July & August, how do I record this?
I have just gone and created "Bills" for the contractors and then entered in the full amount paid. Do I need to do anything else from here?

You can manually import the bank statements for the months of July and August if the bankfeeds were connected after these months. Import bank and credit statements help article explains how to do that. Once that is done, you can reconcile your bills entered with the bank transactions from the imported statement.
