Since last week Essentials is regularly logging me out

Essentials is logging me out maybe a dozen times a day. This issue only started last week. I have not changed anything. I am using Chrome as I always have. It doesn't seem to matter what client file I am in or what area of the file I am in. There is no error message. I will be in the middle of working and I will suddenly get the login screen with no explanation. I have also had a client report that she is experiencing the same issue. I have been assuming that it is an issue at MYOB's end and it would just be resolved but no such luck.

Have you found a solution to your problem yet Nag?  Mine has started to do the same thing in the past week.  I have lost draft invoices and been logged out when I am in the middle of something.  Anyone else?

No solution yet. Been logging me out around every 20 minutes. Very frustrating. Have logged a support request with MYOB. No response yet.

Hi @Nag , @CHatch 

 

The fact that you are being logged out of Essentials points out that the cookie generated for MYOB Essentials is being cleared automatically at set periodic intervals. 

 

If a cookie is cleared while using Essentials, this will redirect you to the login page to re-save the cookie, thereby logging you out.  Please follow the steps on Trust this device for 30 days to get general information on how to not clear cookies. 


If it still doesn't resolve the issue, please ensure that you have added cookies for MYOB Essentials in Advanced Chrome settings in the Google Chrome Browser.

This has not resolved the issue. Had my IT guys implement your recommendation but it has not helped.

Hi @Nag 

 

In that case, we would have to escalate the issue to the relevant team. Therefore, can you please send me the following information by Private Message :

 

  • Serial Number
  • How long does it take between logouts (how often)?

  • What were you clicking when it logged you out?

  • Times and dates

  • What AV do you use?

  • Any environmental conditions that may be impacting it?

  • Are you logging in via partner dashboard?

I'm constantly being logged out too, only started recently after having used Essentials for years.  Very frustrating.  No my browser (Chrome) does not clear cookies on exit.

Being logged out every 30 minutes. I have a client with the same issue. I reported this at the Essentials webinar yesterday and was told a lot of people were reporting the same issue. I hope they get it sorted soon.

My issue has not been resolved either.  Have also found that MYOB is not saving invoices when I press the save button.  Extremely frustrating, and it's been going on for about a week.
