System error message in Essentials - bill payments and bank feed allocations

When I am matching a bank transaction to a single or multiple supplier invoice in Essentials bank transactions, it gives me the following error:

'Please fix the following problem(s):

Sorry, something went wrong. Please try again.'

When I then try and process a 'Pay Bills' it gives me the following error message:

'Could not save due to a system error. Please try again.

All the threads I have found are from 2015/6.

Can anyone help?

Re: System error message in Essentials - bill payments and bank feed allocations

Hi @Angi84

Typically, you encounter this message when the reference number of that corresponding transaction is a duplicate value.

I would recommend going to Purchases>>Pay Bills>>Enter the required transaction. You will need to edit the reference number to be a different number/format before selecting Save. By updating that reference number and saving that transaction you should be able to allocate/match other transactions going forward.

Kind regards,
Steven
