Timesheets, pay items, enter pay, pay

Hi MYOB Community,

We are using MYOB Essentials to process our employee's payruns. We are a dance studio and we have different hourly rates (wages) for different services, e.g. teaching a class gets you $X.00 p/hr, teaching a private lesson gets you $Y.00 p/hr.  We have set up theses different 'pay items' in MYOB, however the employees can only enter their hours (via 'Your Pay' timesheet) and there doesn't seem to be an option for them to select the rate/service.

It is quite a task to manually cross reference their total hours with their timesheet, and with the services they completed in our booking system, then allocate the hours  to the 'pay item' accordingly via 'Enter Pay'.  Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get around this?

Thank you in advance

Re: Timesheets, pay items, enter pay, pay

Hi @Fantasy-Fitness

YourPay, which is a mobile web app for timesheets processing used in conjunction with MYOB Essentials, allows for the employees to enter their normal hours. The normal hours being the wage rate that you have set in the Pay details field. Currently, YourPay doesn't allow for other pay items, such as another earning, to be entered via the app.

If that additional information is required to be entered you could look at getting the employees to enter the normal hours in. With the additional information, enter that into the notes field. When you go to process that pay you can select to View Timesheets, which will show you that notes field so you can add that additional information to the pays when processing.

Kind regards,
Steven
