Lock month and I can still post entries to the locked month

Hi there,

I have noticed that despite the month is locked, i can still post entries to the locked months.

Your advise would be highly appreciated.

Hi @carcraft 

The lock period feature locks the period prior to the date entered in the Setup>>Preferences>>Security window. Therefore, as an example,  if you want to lock everything until 30/06/2020, you will have to enter the lock period date as 1/07/2020. This is because if the lock period is set to 30/06/2020, the transactions can still be recorded for 30/06/2020. 

If you have checked the settings and the lock period is set up correctly, please confirm the date you have entered in the lock period and the date for which it lets you record the transactions so we can investigate it further.

Thank you for your advice as it has helped a lot.

I have followed the steps as per your instructions and I have been able to lock the month.  The box for the lock period has to be ticked though otherwise it doesn’t work.
