MYOB Team app - unable to approve timesheets

Hi,

 

Have been unable to approve timesheets in the MYOB Team app, issue started about 1.5 weeks ago.  Had to process the last pay manually for each employee by accessing & adding up their unapproved hours in the Essentials MYOB Team portal. Have got about 3 weeks worth of timesheets sitting unapproved now. 

In the Team app, when clicking on approve timesheets, it takes a long time to load then this error (pic attached) comes up briefly before taking us back to login screen. Very frustrating.  I've tried updating & redownloading the app but no difference. Do you have any solutions?  And is there another backup way to approve timesheets when the app doesn't work, ie through the portal?

 

Have been using the Team app since it first came out. It has always been very slow to load, especially to approve timesheets. This issue really is icing on the cake.

Hi @Outbackwork 

 

Can you please try ogging in using the same email address as what you have in your company information? Also, if you are the administrator of the company file, can you please be sure to check that under Manage Users (Setup>>User Access>>Manage Users), you only have the Administrator box ticked under Administrator? This would mean unticking all other boxes except for the Administrator tick box.

If the above steps do not work, try clearing the location in MYOB Team and re-entering it? Once you have done that are you now able to approve timesheets? If not, please check if current pay period's timesheets can be approved or returning the same error.

Thanks but unfortunately the steps you've provided have not changed anything, the same error still comes up.

 

If you could continue to assist that would be great, pay run is tonight and I'm facing another manual pay run if not resolved.

Hi Loco,

 

In the end I think it may have been a glitch with the email addresses used across the MYOB platform, being a small business we were using the same email address for the MYOB team approving manager and the main MYOB login etc.  I changed the approving manager's login to a different email account, made everything very seperate and it seemed to work better after that.  Hope this helps.

Hi @Outbackwork 

 

Thanks for your post. 

 

If you're unable to approve time sheets, please check the following:

 

  • Your user role needs to be administrator, if you go to Setup>>user Access>>In this window please check that your role is administrator but the username is not the "Administrator", this cannot be the Administrator default USER ID. If it is. you will need to create a new USER ID with your my.myob login. 
  • In Setup>>company information, the email address used needs to be the same as the admin email to be used in sign up (which would be your email address)
  • Additionally, please make sure that in Set up>>Preferences. "I used Timesheets" needs to be ticked with payroll or Time Billing and Payroll selected. 
  • When you go to Set up>> User Access, are multiple roles ticked for you or only Administrator. If the administrator is ticked, please untick all other roles as that would be causing the approval fail. 

If you've checked all of them and still cannot approve timesheet, clear out the location in MYOB Team and re-enter it.
