Perpetual License Query

We are looking to close the business and therefore cancel the MYOB subscription. I would like to confirm that I have a perpetual license and therefore shall continue to have access to the file on my own computer particularly as we need to keep records for the ATO for 5 years.

Someone from MYOB should be in touch to answer your question - they will ask for your name and licence details etc.

Thought I'd point out a common mis-conception. While you to need to keep records (how long depends on your category of business - varies from 2-5 year or even longer) - these do not need to be in any particular form or format. You certainly don't need to keep your MYOB Company file. You could print out numerous reports and financial statements and keep these to satisfy the record keeping requirement. You may also need source documents such as invoices and receipts etc. Check with your accountant as to what records you need to keep.

Yes you are right, with Perpetual license files can be used offline on your computer .

To further confirm the license type ,I can look up to account details if provided the below listed details

Last 4 digits of serial number

Primary Contact name on Account

I can see the license type as perpertual  using AR standard product and the file can be used offline.
